China News Network, Dalian, March 14 (Reporter Yang Yi) The "Tabaya" ship carrying 303 containers pulled anchor and set sail at the container terminal of Dalian Port on March 14, opening a new route to Indonesia, marking the official opening and operation of Liaoning Port Group's foreign trade container route - "Maersk" Indonesia route.
Up to now, Dalian Port has opened 14 routes to Southeast Asia, including the Indonesian route of "Maersk by sea and land".
In recent years, the trade activity between Dalian and ASEAN countries is relatively high, and the trade volume continues to grow. The demand for shipping space to Southeast Asian shipping areas is growing day by day, laying a market and cargo source foundation for the opening of the "Maritime Maersk" Indonesia route. The opening and operation of this route has effectively expanded the shipping space of Dalian Port's Southeast Asia routes, further densified the schedule density of Southeast Asia routes, and is expected to bring nearly 30000 TEU (container count) containers to Dalian Port throughout the year.
Since its establishment in January this year, Liaoning Port Group has continued to expand the advantages of Dalian and Yingkou ports and vigorously promoted the development of new routes. In addition to the "sea and land Maersk" Indonesian route, Liaoning Port Group has opened two container routes in March: on March 1, it opened the "Yingkou Haikou" domestic trade container route, becoming the largest cross latitude domestic and foreign trade shipping route (41 degrees north latitude to 18 degrees north latitude); On March 11, the weekly direct flight route of "Yingkou Ganyu" was opened, effectively improving the transportation efficiency of Yingkou and Ganyu cargo sources, and driving the expansion and development of container business scale in Ganyu Port Area of Lianyungang.
As one of the port groups with the largest assets and throughput in China, Liaoning Port Group now has a container terminal with a total length of more than 9000 meters, 29 container berths and a maximum water depth of 17.8 meters, which can meet the berthing requirements of all container ships in the world; There are more than 150 domestic and foreign trade routes for containers. The domestic trade routes are distributed in most of China, such as Bohai Rim, East China, Southeast China and South China. The foreign trade route network covers more than 300 ports in more than 160 countries and regions around the world.
